Boiler Burners, Incinerators, spare parts, service

Volcano, as a Boiler Burner & Incinerator maker, has a wealth of experience dealing with burners and other systems used on vessels: from boiler burners used for the main propulsion engine on large LNG carriers, to auxiliary boiler burners used as heat sources within the vessel, as well as waste liquid incinerators, and bilge / slush treatment systems. Volcano offers products with excellent energy savings and environmental performance in conjunction with a global service network in order to support safe and efficient marine transport.

Periodical maintenance of burner ensures the reliable operation

1. Maintenance and inspection of burner Burner inspection and combustion adjustment
Burner disassembly, inspection and cleaning.
Checking and inspection combustion.
Inspection and adjustment of combustion exhaust gas measurement (Co, O2, smoke scale, etc.).

2. Maintenance equipment, automatic controller inspection and maintenance
Inspection of control panel and electrical parts and deterioration checking in its early stage.

3. Combustion technical advice
Combustion technical advice is offered so that the burner is used for a long time in safe condition and at low cost.

4. Maintenance, inspection and repair of incinerator refractory material
Refractory in the furnace consumes itself in proportion to the operation hour. To ensure safe operation for a long time, periodical inspection and diagnosis is inevitable.

5. Periodic Inspection & Recommended Parts Replacement
By conducting periodic inspections, the status of the equipment can be assessed and consumable supplies or parts that have deteriorated can be replaced when necessary in order to ensure smooth operation and avoid problems with the equipment.

Incinerators – Specification & Features

Shipboard incinerators (air atomizer type)

TYPE: VIM

with IMO type approval certificate and CE Rudder marking

Overview

Design is based on the shipboard incinerator standard specification MEPC76 (40) prescribed by the IMO. Refuse and waste that are generated on board the vessel while at sea can be burned safely.

Specification

• Maximum processing heat capacity: 349 to 1,163 kW(300,000 to 1,000,000 Kcal/h)

• Waste oil processing capacity: 40 to 116 kg/h

• Solid material processing capacity: 17 to 60 kg/h

Features

• The waste oil burner uses an air atomizer method.

• An independent furnace structure can provide stable and safe burning of waste oil and solid materials generated on board the vessel.

• The system uses a double-door, bucket mechanism to dump solid materials into the incinerator, making it possible to dump in materials during operation.

• The system uses a diluted air method to quickly cool the emissions temperature to as low as 200°C in order to reduce the level of dioxins that are generated.

• The horizontal and cylindrical furnace configuration helps prevent the refractory materials from falling down.

• The compact structure integrates the incinerator body, control board and induced draft fan into one unit.

• A sequencer is used to provide safe control with automatic operation.

Shipboard incinerators (rotary burner type)

TYPE: VIRM

IMO model certification and CE marking

Overview

Design is based on the shipboard incinerator standard specification MEPC76 (40) prescribed by the IMO. Refuse and waste that are generated on board the vessel while at sea can be burned safely.

Specification

• Maximum processing heat capacity: 349 to 2,326 kW(300,000 to 2,000,000 Kcal/h)

• Waste oil processing capacity: 40 to 230 kg/h

• Solid material processing capacity: 17 to 60 kg/h (349 to 1,163 kW) 15 kg / batch / 30 min. (2,326 kW)

Features

• The waste oil burner uses rotary cup method.
